Christopher Robert Evans, born 13 June 1981, is an American actor. His career began with roles in television series, such as in Opposite Sex in 2000. After appearing in several teenage films, like Not Another Teen Movie in 2001, he was renowned for portraying the Marvel Comics Character the Human Torch. Evans was featured in a variety of film adaptations of comics and graphic novels like TMNT (2007) Scott Pilgrim and the World vs. the World (2009) as well as Snowpiercer (2013). As part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he was more well-known as Captain America/Steve Rogers. This includes Captain America: The First Captain America: The Winter Soldier 2014 and Captain America: Civil War. Evans also appeared as Captain America in The Avengers Age of Ultron 2015. Avengers: Infinity War 2018 and Endgame 2019. As a result of his Marvel work, he became one of the highest-paid actors in the world.
